The Who. So hawt! So I finally just got my mixer fired up and running today, after a week of frustrating electrical surges, product malfunctions, and an epic cable run today (Props to Jeffrey Lo and George for putting up with my penis/vagina analogies today). With the electronica scene seeing an intense revival since the days of Kraftwerk and Daft Punk, I remain humble when I say that my goal isn’t to reinvent the genre. I just want to see bodies move, that’s all. That being said, it’s good to see budding electronica artists releasing remixes of rock classics from The Who, AC/DC, Nirvana, Metallica, etc. etc. These tributes are able to somewhat capture their original flair while getting makeovers in the dance-ability and hipster departments. Hurray for being able to throw your hands up and go dumb to a song that was so the 90’s. (Cue in Ryan Mac’s voice.) What’s playing on my itunes?
